About MTA Products

  • Launched in 1982, MTA immediately begins to operate in the compressed air treatment and water refrigeration sectors

  • The progressive rise in product quality and design standards, coupled with the constant pursuit of customer satisfaction creates outstanding growth for MTA, as it expands from the national into the international markets
  • Toward the end of 2001, MTA's total workforce includes some 300 dedicated individuals, of whom 30 are committed to design and research and development
  • 2001 exports are at 70 % of total sales. Accompanying this growth is a continuous reinvestment in research and development and the innovative enhancement of company organization and infrastructure
  • MTA's world headquarters is located in conselve, Italy in the province of Padov, 50km from Marco Polo International Airport
  • MTA's facilities occupy a total area of 538,000 sq. ft. of which 323,000 sq.ft. are enclosed

Refrigerated Dryers

Our “DE” or Dry Energy range (18 scfm to 2000 scfm) of “Genuine Cycling” refrigerated air dryers is our Flagship product and uses 30% to 80% less energy than conventional dryers. Using a non-toxic “Dry” thermal storage area, cold “Energy” is stored when the compressed air demand is anything less than “Full Load”. This situation generally occurs when: the dryer and compressor’s capacities don’t match evenly, seasonal changes and thus a swing in operating temperatures & pressures and varying loads as a result of shift work.

To prevent common dew point deterioration resulting from liquid re-entrainment during reduced flow situations, our DE range of dryers incorporate a stainless steel “Demister” type moisture separator. This inherent  “CAS” (Continuous Active Separation) separator provides 99.9% efficiency under varying load conditions by utilizing the mechanisms and effects of cold coalescing and directional change impingement separation.

Our refrigeration system is charged with environmentally friendly R134a refrigerant and has not been altered or modified from its original design in an attempt to achieve energy efficiency.

Compressed Air Filters

Our high-efficiency filters are available in corrosion treated die- cast aluminum housings in ported pipe sizes from ½” to 3” and  in our fabricated “U” stamped ASME coded vessels from 4” to 8” flange. We have 4 grades of elements that are capable of removing particulate matter, oil and water aerosols and droplets, oil odors and vapors. Our filters produce an air quality conforming and tested to ISO 8573 standards.

 Regenerative Adsorption Dryers

Utilizing the proven principles of adsorption drying, the SHL Series Heatless Pressure Swing desiccant air dryers are manufactured in accordance to the ASME code and stamped to meet all National Board and state requirements. They offer the lowest initial capital investment to provide the highest solution to low dew point “dry” air. Pressure dew points of minus -40° F to an optional minus -100°F are available. We have incorporated high quality, long service life control valves and a state-of-the-art microprocessor with a digital mimic display. An energy savings, automatic purge demand control feature is available as an option, as is factory installed filtration and by-pass piping. Our standard catalog range is from 50 scfm to 2000 scfm, but we welcome requests for larger or custom engineered packages.

When a heatless dryer just isn’t enough, we offer our SEH Series Externally Heat Reactivated dryer and our SBP Series Blower Purge dryer. However, unlike the SHL series, we reversed the direction of flow and down flow dry. Our low watt density heaters provide an efficient alternative to a heatless dryer. Standard catalog capacities on our SEH are from 150 scfm to 3,000 and 1,000 to 10,000 scfm on Series SBP.
